What is a Ceilidh?
Beth yw twmpath?
A ceilidh (kay-lee) or twmpath (toom-path) as we call it in Wales, is a big, friendly gathering built around group dancing and live music. They are multi-generational parties where people of all skill levels can dance together.
We know all the moves
Dyn ni'n gwybod yr holl symudiadau i gyd
We teach and call all our dances, so whether you're a beginner or an old hand, we'll guide you through and keep you on track. Doing it wrong is part of the fun, and there's nothing wrong with a bit of improv now and again!
Dancing for all!
Dawnsio i bawb!
We believe everyone should be able to enjoy a ceilidh/twmpath. We address our audience with gender neutral call outs, and we've built energetic sets fused with genres and styles from around the world, modernising what we think a dance band should be. You'll find original dances in our sets as well as golden oldies with a twist (We do a hell of a Strip the Willow), there's even a few dance games to play!
